Local Children Sell Toys and Donate Proceeds

Emilia (7) and William (5) Davies hosted a yard sale during the Exeter Town-Wide Yard Sales in June, selling some of their toys, lemonade, and homemade cookies. Their parents Megan and JR Davies encouraged the children to donate their proceeds to a local charity, and said they would match the proceeds raised by the kids in their yard sale. After discussing which charity they would like to support, Emilia and William chose to donated to the South Huron Hospital. As it turns out, Emilia and William’s yard sale was a great success (and the cookies were a hit), and generated $425 in sales, which Megan and JR generously matched as promised, totalling $850 donated to the South Huron Hospital Foundation. The Foundation is thrilled to receive such a meaningful gift, and was happy to take Emilia and William on a little tour of the hospital so that they could see how their donation would help others.
