Brian's Story

Brian and his wife Ria relocated to
Bluewater two years ago, at the height of the pandemic. Being rooted in
a community is a core value for Brian, so, when he relocated to this
area, he immediately looked into various volunteer organizations to
join. Naturally, his profession leads him to health-related sectors,
and non-profit/governance boards. After learning more about the South
Huron Hospital Association, Brian accepted a nomination to their board,
and soon became Vice Chair, and also a member of the South Huron
Hospital Foundation Board.
Never did it occur to Brian that he
would soon learn about the South Huron Hospital from the perspective of a
patient; but, on January 1st, 2022, a sudden life-altering experience
found Brian as a patient of the Emergency Department at South Huron
Hospital.
